Tailored
to the needs of the individual community, TRIAD's
Journalism training workshops bolster the reporting,
writing, and editing skills of aspiring journalists.
Emphasizing timely, accurate reporting on stories
with relevance and resonance will help to inform local
readers about the world around them.
The Youth Journalism initiative teaches kids the basics
of reporting and gives them a forum in which to express
themselves in a way that benefits their peers, as
well. Our professional journalists work directly with
the children to create a community newsletter geared
towards other kids. With stories that reflect their
lives written from their perspective, these children
will write about health, education, sports, music,
and will also have the opportunity to write opinion
pieces!
