TRIAD’s staff and expert volunteers, along with international program partners, work to help local leaders create life-skills-based HIV/AIDS education programs based on community needs.
In rural South Africa, our first outreach area, TRIAD has trained local leadership to create programs focusing on health and life-skills education. These programs include professional development in health, arts, and media careers. These well-trained leaders now manage and implement their own HIV education programs that reach youth through school, extra-curricular sports programs, and numerous community outreach opportunities. TRIAD is proud to not only train these leaders, but to help them create employment opportunities in youth sports leagues, performing arts troupes, newspapers, and health services programs.
