TRIAD’s staff and expert volunteers, along with international program partners, work to help local leaders create life-skills-based HIV/AIDS education programs based on community needs.
In rural South Africa, our first outreach area, TRIAD has trained local leadership to create programs focusing on health and life-skills education. These programs include professional development in health, sports, arts, and media careers. These well-trained leaders now run HIV education-based organized youth sports leagues, performing arts troupes, newspapers, and health services programs. Each of these programs creates employment opportunities, as well.
